Being authorized by province and town administrations, Arpa, ASL and Fire Department, the biomass combustion plant has been designed and realized according to the best cutting-edge combustion technologies in full compliance with the environmental restrictions set by Authorities and by the Kyoto protocol guidelines on greenhouse gas emissions.

The plant is fed with about 200 tons per day of biomasses (especially rice husks) and has a capacity of 35 thermal megawatt and 8 electrical megawatt, which can be sold to the network (except for the power station consumption).

As far as emissions to the atmosphere are concerned, the plant is equipped with very effective combustion technologies and gas treatments, which allow to control and pull down the parameters involved (particularly CO carbon monoxide and NOx nitrogen oxides), assuring environment and human health protection.

The Idroblins plant is also equipped with an emissions monitoring system which allows to keep under control emission readings 24 hours a day. Such a system is available online for the supervisory Authorities as well, in order to ensure maximum transparency.
