IDROBLINS srl

IDROBLINS originated in 2001 from the joint venture between two industrial groups, leaders in rice processing and industrial process plant construction and management respectively. The plant produces green power from the combustion of rice husks, a by-product of local rice industry in Padan Plain.

Biomass combustion has a “neutral” effect on carbon dioxide emissions (CO2), since it is easily reabsorbed by vegetable plants, which recover through photosynthesis the CO2 produced by combustion. In this way, the CO2 cycle perfectly matches.

After the total rebuilding of the plant in 2010, today Idroblins is a flagship within biomass power plants. Being equipped with the best available technologies, the plant produces high efficiency electric and thermal power, in full accordance with environmental and safety regulations. Ashes coming from husks combustion are marketed in different formats and employed as a refractory product within iron and steel industry.
